Evan reached out to NEHOV for assistance with temporary housing costs. Unfortunately Evan is in between permanent housing. We were happy to help this hard working Veteran. Currently Evan is attending community college night and day to better himself. Sometimes our Veterans just need a little hand up to get them to a better place in life. It is because of the generous donations we receive that we are able to help great Veterans like Evan!

Leslie reached out to NEHOV for car repairs. DONE! Recently Leslie has gained custody of his 11 year old daughter and is having difficulty financially providing and keeping up with his general bills. NEHOV was happy to meet and help this great Veteran. Leslie also needs beddings for a twin bed, girl toys for an 11 year old and maybe a bike for his daughter. Paul Tellier served in the United States Army in Korea. We found out about Paul through a social media post. We knew NEHOV had to step up and make this right. No Veteran deserves to live like this. Paul is living in extremely poor and hazardous conditions. Paul has no heat or running water is the home he is in is structurally unsound. NEHOV along with the entire community of Burrillville, Rhode Island has signed on to MAKE THIS RIGHT.  The project “IRONCLAD” has been formed which will be the project name for Mr. Tellier’s house build. Please continue to follow this massive project as we will continue to document our progress. Alan is a US Army Veteran who has finally found housing. NEHOV was able to provide Alan with gently used furnishings and various household goods to get him started off in his new place. When Veterans finally get Veteran Voucher housing they usually just get the keys and have nothing else to go in the new home. Through various donations we are able to provide veterans like Alan a good start to their new home. It was a pleasure to help this great Veteran and we vow that all veterans like Alan will not be forgotten. Thank you for your service to our country Alan.

James has finally found permanent housing through the Veteran Voucher system. James reached out to New Englanders Helping Our Veterans for some financial assistance for purchasing some essentials for his new home. DONE! We were happy to help this great Veteran and give him a helping hand to get him started off in his new apartment. NEHOV operates on the generous donations we receive which enables us to continue our efforts in helping our great Veterans in need.

Shane reached out to Veterans Inc. who in turn reached out to NEHOV to assist this US Army Veteran. Shane was in need of a car battery and low on funds. DONE! We were happy to help Shane and get him back on the road. Home depot also contributed and paid for a portion of the battery. New Englanders Helping our Veterans works with various Veterans agencies and the VA Medical Center to help our great veterans.  Working together we are able to help more veterans and make sure their needs are met. It is through the generous donations that we receive that we are able to continue are mission to help veterans that sometimes fall between the cracks. Robert came up to New England for employment but unfortunately it fell through. With funds running low and no job in sight Robert was soon sleeping in his car with his wife who is disabled. Robert served with the US Marines for 12 years and has unfortunately run into some difficult times. Robert reached out to NEHOV and we   were able to provide him with Stop & Shop gift cards and money for lodging. Robert is hopefully going to be in permanent housing soon but in the mean time NEHOV and other military recourses have come to his aid. Robert’s service is NOT FORGOTTEN. We were happy to help this great Veteran who gave 12 years to the US Marines.

On January 1st SFC Chris Walton (right) was a victim to a tragic fire in Fall River, MA that displaced 80 people. Craig Chapman of the North Attleboro Police served with Chris and reached out for donations to help this great hero rebuild his life. Chris is the father of 5 children and continues to serve our country. We were most honored to be able to help in this fundraiser by presenting a check on behalf of the NEHOV. Craig graciously gave our check to Chris so he would have some immediate financial relief. It is because of the generous donations we receive that we can help our great hero’s like Chris in his time of need.

Eugene is a 12 year Army /Navy Veteran who reached out to NEHOV for some financial assistance. Eugene has had some set backs lately and needed a little financial assistance for his electric bill to be up to date. DONE! We are proud and honored to give back to this great veteran who served so honorably. It is because of the generous donations we receive that we are able to continue to help and give a “hand up” to our great Veterans! They should never be forgotten and we are eternally grateful for their service and sacrifice.

Mike (right) currently is homeless and lives in a tent in a patch of woods in Providence RI. Our President James Collins (left) reached out to Mike and got to know this great Veteran. Mike’s lifestyle is a choice right now, he has had some difficult times since his return from his service. We along with donations from Walmart were able to provide Mike with gift cards to help him purchase supplies needed to keep him warm and safe. We will continue to check on Mike and make sure he is taken care of himself. It was an honor and pleasure to meet this great Veteran. We will not judge our hero’s!

Chris has recently found housing. When our Veterans get into housing they usually are only given the keys and have nothing else. We at New Englanders Helping Our Veterans try to help them make this transition from homelessness to home as easy as possible. We provided Chris with a microwave, other household goods, clothing and gift cards to get him started off in his new home. We wish him the best of luck in his new home. We thank our great donors who make this possible to help our struggling Veterans such as Chris. They served for us now we must make sure they are not forgotten!

Miles reached out to NEHOV for some assistance getting him started in his new apartment. Ed has been struggling and we have helped Ed on various occasions. Most recently we were able to give him warm winter clothing! Through the various donations we receive, both monetary and non monetary we work to try to assist any of our struggling Veterans that reach out to us. It was a privilege to help Ed and the many more like Ed that New Englanders Helping Our Veterans assist.

William reached out to NEHOV for a little help with his electric bill. Sometimes our Veterans struggle to just keep up with the simple things that we take for granted. We were happy to pay Williams electric bill for the month! Thank you William for your service to our great country! With the generous donations New Englanders Helping our Veterans receive we are able to ease the burden and stress to some of our struggling Veterans.

Tomlin is a US Army Veteran, she reached out to NEHOV for some assistance with transportation. New Englanders Helping our Veterans was happy to help this wonderful Veteran and get her on her way again! It was a pleasure meeting and talking to Tomlin about her service to our great country. With the generous donations we receive we area able to respond to the requests of need by our great Veterans like Tomlin. Michael reached out to NEHOV for some financial assistance to get his license reinstated. Michael had come across some difficult times and we were happy to help this great Veteran get “his house in order”.  It was a pleasure to meet and talk with Michael and get to know him. With the generous donations we receive we are able to continue to let these great veterans know that they are not alone. Their service is appreciated by all!

Francis reached out to NEHOV for a little rent assistance. Struggling to meet his monthly bills Francis had fallen behind on his rent. NEHOV was pleased to ease the burden on this great Veteran! Through the generous donations we receive we are able to help Veterans like Francis and so many other great Veterans that sometimes just need a little boost! You are not forgotten nor is your service to our great country!

Gerard got the surprise of his life when he met our President James Collins by chance. Jim met Gerard at a motorcycle repair shop and they started chatting. Gerard told Jim he had driven his Bike to Fenway Park for a ball game and when he came out his bike was missing. The motorcycle was stolen and found later but had been vandalized. Gerard and Jim were at the right place at the right time since James our President decided that NEHOV would help pay for these repairs. Gerard was stunned and so appreciative since it was going to be difficult for him to raise the money to fix his beloved motorcycle. We were delighted to help this needy Veteran who was victimized and struggling.

Brian reached out to NEHOV for some financial assistance to repair his car. NEHOV was happy to help this veteran become mobile again! Good luck Brian and thank you for your service to our country! Arthur reached out to NEHOV for some utility bills that had piled up and he was unable to pay. NEHOV took that burden off of this great Veteran and was able to help Arthur catch up on these bills. Through the generous donations we receive New Englanders Helping our Veterans is able to help so many of our struggling Veterans like Arthur. Sometimes just a little hand up is all they need to get them in the right direction and to let them know that YES we care you are not alone!

We met Anthony through the Providence Veterans Affairs. Anthony was transitioning into a new home of his own and needed everything and anything to furnish it. We were able to give Anthony a few furnishings and various household goods to get him started off in his new place. Through various donations that NEHOV receives we are able to help these great Veterans that fall upon hard times. Anthony has even given back to us and helps us move other Veterans that are going through the same transition that he has gone through! At NEHOV we not only get to meet and help these great Veterans but we form relationships with many through continued contact with many of them!

Anthony recently transitioned into a new permanent residence and was in need of household goods and furniture for his new apartment. NEHOV was glad to help this great Veteran of the Vietnam era. Though our various donations that we receive we were able to provide Anthony with a gently used couch and table along with some other household goods to get him started in his new place. NEHOV even delivered and moved the furniture in for him! It was such a pleasure helping and meeting this honorable Veteran!

Eric served 8 years in the US Marines. Eric reached out to NEHOV for a little financial assistance for repairs to his car. NEHOV was proud and pleased to help this honorable Veteran! With the generous donations we receive we are able to help great Vets like Eric!
